ENROLL YOUR SUPERSTAR IN DRUMKIDS TODAY
Drumming isn't about the noise, it's about the process. The process and the actions that give our unique children a concrete intervention when they feel overwhelmed by emotion, or when they are compelled to do something with their hands or bodies. Believe it or not, drumming even helps when our kids are having issues with interpretation - such as interpretation of expressions or tone. If you ask me, there is no better way, to open conversations related to the appropriateness of tone and volume (ie: is something too loud or very quiet) than with percussion!
Drumming is an intrinsic motivator. All children are more willing to participate and absorb information from processes (or even people) that they find 'fun' or 'interesting'. And most kids find that striking or tapping rhythmic patterns (drumming) is not only fun and interesting but equally soothing and calming. That's the buy-in. And if you know anything about participation rates and children ... the buy-in is everything.

Music has the ability to soothe, align, and redirect. A student quietly tapping a drum pattern to themselves serves as a form of self-regulation and helps the learner facilitate greater autonomy and an improved sense of control.

Hi, I’m Dr. Sasha
-Teacher. Musician. Certified Practitioner. Mom.
I work with all children aged 4 thru 12 years on drumming and success coaching. I specialize in equipping nontraditional or neurodivergent thinkers with strategies, structures, and systems meant to support emotional self-regulation and nontraditional skill-building.
Through easy, online, percussion instruction (no drums required) and one-to-one or group coaching, I share methods that could help all learners, especially, nontraditional learners (adhd, add, asd, anxiety, dyspraxia, tourette's, talented-and-gifted, asperger's, homeschoolers, and more) to learn a new skill or simply have access to practice or socialization activities.
You’ve got your pediatrician to prescribe meds and provide medical advice. You’ve got your psychologist and psychiatrist for talk therapy and other mental health benefits. Now you’ve got another level of support in your arsenal.
Me.

First things first ... we make NO APOLOGIES for who we are. Extreme literalism is a dominant behavior in most neurodivergent thinkers. This is not a deficiency. Direct, precise expression without pomp, circumstance, or idealization. Indeed, our sons are #superheroes.
